In fact, there should be more games like this. Why do similar genres need to view each other as competitors though? Like I said, there's not many games of this kind out there, so devs shouldn't view each other as competitors. They're different enough in gameplay and combat to warrant a look. I said both games aren't similiar at all, other than the premise. I'm sure there are a couple of things they can implement from the other game. Since CE is still in developmentm the devs should take a close look at its competitor. I'll watch some youtube videos to get a more precise idea. Generally RE seems to be more professional, but also more calculated and feels lifeless while CE oozes charm and human creation. I don't care much for RE's cartoonish look and much prefer the vintage look of CE. Graphics are probably just a matter of taste. RE's system looks more user-friendly, but I hope the action-cam is optional (extremely annoying close-ups). RE has hexagon-map battles, CE a very D&D-like system. RE's map movement is simple node to node (like FTL), CE is much more intriguing that way. RE has a character levelling system, CE doesn't. The character selection screen provides way more overview for example and you pick a party of 3! CE has the better characters though (famous historical people vs. If you compare details then there are some things RE does better.
